  1. Interconnection, cause and effect, cycles of death and rebirth, Samsara. The Fool understands that his actions have a ripple effect in the universe. The most minuscule action can lead to profound consequences and his death will most certainly lead to the growth of new life. Our inescapable position in the web of the universe, where we both affect and are affected by everything, is the lesson of the Wheel of Fortune.

    **I would add that the face is the individual consciousness ascending to the greater collective consciousness of humanity, of all living beings and the universe. The phoenix represents the constant process of rebirth everything is subject to.
